With the advent of smart phones and the social media, youngsters are hooked onto the phenomenon of 'selfies'. Taking 'selfies' of either one's own self or as a group of friends, and sharing them on FB and Twitter is second nature for today's youth.
The Kaththi team has used this trend smartly and created a huge buzz for one of the numbers in the film titled 'Let's take a Selfie Pulla', sung by none other than Ilayathalapathy Vijay himself. Madhan Karky has written the lines of this number for Anirudh's score, and he believes that this song would be a hybrid of 'Google Google' and 'Kolaveri'.
Meanwhile, all the core members of Kaththi starting from Murugadoss, Anirudh, Neil Nitin Mukesh to Lalgudi Ilayaraja and George Williams have shared 'selfies' of themselves with a Kaththi hoarding behind. The hashtag #KaththiSelfie has caught on big-time among Vijay fans online and they have been merrily sharing their own Kaththi 'selfies' in their accounts. Next up, Samantha and the Ilayathalapathy are expected to hop on to the 'Kaththi Selfie' bandwagon.
The audio of the movie would be launched on September 18, and the film looks set for a Diwali release.
