SHRUTHI HAASAN HAS GREAT WORDS TO SAY ABOUT "VIJAY 58TH MOVIE"

We have been reporting regularly about 'Vijay 58', the upcoming untitled Ilayathalapathy - Chimbudevan film, with music by Devi Sri Prasad and cinematography by Natraj. Shruti Haasan, Hansika and Sridevi form a formidable female presence in the movie, while Sudeep adds more weight to the movie's cast.

Yesterday, in a Twitter chat with her numerous fans and followers, Shruti made her involvement in the movie official and sent all fans into frenzy mode. This is what she had to tweet

Am super happy to be vijay sirs leading lady in Chimbudevan's next! Time to make an epic film! #tamilponnu #excitement #superu #whatastory

After her tweet, #tamilponnu was trending in Twitter and the fact that she mentioned the words 'whatastory' and 'epic film' sure does send the expectation meter soaring already

VIJAY IS UP AGAINST IT BIG TIME IN KATHTHI

When Neil Nitin Mukesh was announced as the main villain in A.R.Murugadoss - Vijay's Kaththi, everyone was taken by surprise as he was a non-Tamil speaking actor who was totally alien to the Tamil mass audiences. But with a reputation for being a quality actor in Bollywood, those who knew him were sure that Kaththi would have the necessary challenges for Neil - the actor.

So what exactly can we expect from the main villain in Kaththi? This is what Neil had to say, in a recent interview to IANS.

“It’s not a typical villain role. I play an extremely polished character, a north Indian who speaks Tamil, well read and foreign-returned. As a villain, I don’t fight the hero with physical power, but with intelligence. I think these qualities make my role scarier because it’s not easy to tackle someone who is villainous and intelligent at the same time. These layers of shades attracted me to the role”

VIJAY NATURE AND CHARACTER HUMBLES HIS KATHTHI CO-STAR

Kaththi's main villain, Neil Nitin Mukesh has huge pressure on his shoulders as he would be taking on the inimitable Vijay in this year's much hyped Diwali flick, directed by A.R.Murugadoss. Vidyut Jamwal did a great job in Thuppakki and Neil would obviously be compared with the benchmark set by the mean and handsome Vidyut.

So how did Neil find the experience of working with Vijay? In an interview to IANS, this is what he had to say.

"Vijay is one of the finest people in the industry. I still can’t believe he’s a superstar because he never behaves like one. He is always humble and very friendly. He’s supportive and very encouraging. I feel really lucky to have Vijay and Murugadoss as a team to work with in my Tamil debut"'

VIJAY-"THE NEXT SUPER STAR"MAKE HIS PRESENCE

Recently, a popular magazine had conducted a public poll across various platforms on "Who the next Superstar was?", and Ilayathalapathy Vijay was chosen as the next Superstar.

Taking it further, the magazine is conducting a felicitation function on the 15th of August, in Madurai. The event is planned to be a grand spectacle with many top stars from the industry expected to make their presence felt.

Well, will Ilayathalapathy Vijay attend the event? According to sources close to the star, he would make a brief appearance at the event, and return back.

KAMALA HAASAN VS VIJAY AFTER 9 YEARS ALONG IN THIS DIPAWALI

The Diwali 2014 race may turn out to be among the biggest in recent years. It already has one of the most expected movies this year, Ilayathalapathy Vijay's Kaththi, and the Vishal - Hari project, Poojai. At this juncture, we may have another biggie joining the list - Ulaganayagan Kamal Haasan's Uttama Villain. But there is nothing official about Uttama Villain's release date yet.

The last time Vijay and Kamal clashed at the box-office was in 2005, when Mumbai Express and Sachein competed along with Superstar Rajinikanth's Chandramukhi. Will history repeat itself after 9 long years? We have to wait and watch but the prospect is mighty exciting.
