Another anti-corruption Director to work with Vijay
With his latest release Nimirndhu Nil, starring Jeyam Ravi and Amala Paul, Director Samuthirakani has joined the league of directors Shankar and A.R.Murugdoss, who have proved their expertise in presenting 'crusade against corruption' films in an impactful manner, with tight script and hard hitting dialogues.
Shankar has directed Ilayathalabathi Vijay in Nanban and Murugdoss has directed him in Thuppakki and an untitled project which is progressing rapidly. Interestingly Samuthirakani will also be directing Vijay as per sources close to the Nadodigal director.
Vijay will join Chumbu Devan film after completing his film with Murugdoss. Menawhile Vijay is said to be in talks with acclaimed directors Suseenthiran and Sasikumar who have confirmed that they may work with Vijay in a project. Atlee of Raja Rani famce has also reportedly approached Vijay with a script. Now Samuthirakani has also approached Vijay as per reliable sources.
Samuthirakani has earlier stated in an interview that he has a period script in mind and either Vijay or Suriya will be the suitable for its lead role. Its unknown whether Samuthirakani is approaching Vijay with that script or any other script. But we can be assured that Samuthirakani will impress the star with his script and expect an interesting announcement.
Meanwhile Samuthirakani's next film will be Kedhaari which will have himself and Amala Paul in the lead. Samuthirakani will also be directing a flick in which he will be acting for the first time.
