Ilayathalapathy Vijay and blockbuster director Shankar have already associated on the successful Nanban in 2012. Though the movie was far-removed from Shankar's usual template of hero-centric films, Nanban was a good change for Vijay and the movie was lapped up by his fans and the family audiences.
Yesterday at an awards function, which was graced by both these personalities, Vijay put forward a request to Shankar that they should work together again in the director's typical 'larger than life' template. He capped his request with his famous 'I am waiting' punchline.
Though he was supposed to work in the director's path-breaking Mudhalvan but later missed the film, Vijay feels that Indian is his favorite Shankar movie
